Vi-RA was launched by Hari Thrivikramji in 2009 based on his own need for analyst support 24/7. Hari is a serial entrepreneur who has been in businesses as varied as cable TV, beauty salons, restaurants, strategy consulting, wellness and biotechnology since 1992. He has trained as a medical doctor (MBBS, Trivandrum Medical College, University of Kerala) and studied for an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management (www.thunderbird.edu), an MSc in Finance (2006) from the London Business School (www.london.edu) and an MSc in Leadership and Strategy (Sloan Fellow, 2016), also from the London Business School (www.london.edu). He has lived and worked in India, the USA, Switzerland and the UK. In addition to his other entrepreneurial activities, he also serves as advisor, investor and consultant to startups.
Marina George serves as Executive Director at Vi-RA. She has led several business analysis and strategy projects within Hari Group, a company she co-owns. Currently she also heads a team of developers with cutting edge skills in web and mobile development within Hari Group. Marina has trained as an Electronics Engineer. Marina started her career with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS, India), followed by stints in other companies in roles of increasing responsibility, leading up to the position of Account Manager (UST Global, USA), heading a team of over 500 people, responsible for the most profitable account for the company. After this corporate career, she has conducted several business analysis and strategy projects within a company she co-owns. Currently she heads a mobile gaming startup with a team of developers who have cutting edge skills in web and mobile development. Marina has trained as an Electronics Engineer. She has been involved with providing support services to multiple startups and lends her spare time to advising budding entrepreneurs on IT infrastructure and social media marketing.
